Hi I'm Janet and I'm the owner of Pick 'n' Mix Crafts. I thought it was time for you to get to know me a little better. I live in the New Forest in the South of England. In fact I was born just 3 miles away from where I live now! I've been happily married for 33 years and have 2 grown children.
My Grandma was a huge influence on me. I saw her most days and she was the most patient person I have ever had the pleasure to know. She let me and my sister help her cook, sew, knit and crochet among other things. In fact we both knew how to knit and crochet before we went to school. For this I will always be grateful.
As I grew my love for crafts deepened and by the time I was 14 I was making my own clothes either by sewing or knitting. I also took on the task of crocheting a blanket for my bed which essentially was a massive Grannie Square.
My aim at starting this blog is to share different things with you regarding knitting, crochet and other crafts too! Different techniques, new kits, spotlights on the suppliers I use and much more.
